November 101 in 1001 Update

I cannot believe I am sitting down to write my first post since June! I ended up taking a much longer hiatus, but not intentionally. The longer time went on the harder it was to figure out where to start again and what to blog about. This morning as I was scrolling through Twitter (as usual) I noticed Macy (who hosts this link-up) post about it almost being one year since starting 101 in 1001! It got me inspired to look at my list and cross things off that I had accomplished this year. It was exciting for me. So, thank you Macy for inspiring me to actually sit down and write this post.

Since I didn't link up last time around I will update you on what I have crossed off my list and am currently working on since February.

  • I have tried 5/25 brand new recipes from Pinterest. Surprisingly, all of them have been wins and Joe and I both loved them!
  • I attended 1/3 of my concert goals - seeing The Killers in Las Vegas. This was a bucket list item for me and thankfully to my mom, she made this happen!
  • 1/3 shows have been seen - Joe and I saw Mystere at Treasure Island while we were In Vegas this past October and it was incredible.
  • I completed my goal of going back to Las Vegas 2/2 times (but I'm positive we will go back plenty of more times)

  • We Tried a new double date night idea in August which was an Escape Room, and it was so much fun!
  • Try new restaurants in our town. We have actually been branching out and have tried 2/5 new restaurants lately.
  • Take my niece on fun adventures. We have done this by taking her to the local zoo and she had a blast.
  • Write myself Future Me emails every year. I just recently received one from last year, and wrote myself a new one for 2017.
  • girls night out was completed several times, and it will definitely be a regular thing.
As for now, I plan on working on my blogging goals, and crossing off more of those personal physical/mental goals.

What have you accomplished on your list? I love reading these posts and can't wait to read what everyone else has crossed off of their lists!

101 in 1001 Update | February

Well, three months have officially passed since the start date of my 101 in 1001 list. Today, I am co-hosting the first update with Macy and I am so excited to read about everyone's progress! Although I haven't crossed off as many things as I hoped, doing this update has motivated me to pick goals for the upcoming months. Next time I will definitely have much more to cross off! Here is what I have accomplished so far.

Items I have crossed off my list so far:

27. Keep my niece overnight - This has actually happened twice so far, and Joe and I love having her over!

28.Keep the Black Friday tradition going every year (2015) - This was a major success for 2015!

37.Go on a fancy date (1) - This happened in December, and we had a lot of fun!

39.Have an annual Harry Potter marathon (2016) - This will of course be an every year thing, but we recently went through all of the movies after Christmas and into the new year (thanks mom for the box set)

56. Take a girls trip - A few weekends ago my sisters, mom, niece, and myself all took a day trip to L.A to visit my grandad and also to do some shopping.

98. Redo my about me page - I recently updated it, but of course I am looking into new ways to design it more myself.

Items in progress/upcoming:

6.Finish my degree - Always in progress, one of the main reasons I have not been able to cross more things off lately!

10.Organize all of my family/baby pictures into photo albums - I recently got some old pictures from my moms house, so I bought a photo album and am working on getting them all organized.

15. Try 25 new to me recipes from Pinterest - This has been so much fun, I am loving trying out new recipes right now.

23.Completely purge my closet and donate everything I am not wearing/will not wear - I have been in major spring cleaning mode, and my closet is the next thing on my list to tackle.

49.Take at least two trips back to Las Vegas - Coming up in April

You can always read my original 101 in 1001 list here

December Goals from my 101 in 1001 List

It's officially my favorite month, and even though I feel permanently cold I am so happy! We have our tree up and Christmas decorations are decking the halls. This month I decided to really commit to my 101 in 1001 list by making my smaller monthly "goals" stem from that list. I want to be actively checking things off as I go so I think this will be a good way to keep participating each month.

Here are the ones I will be focusing on this month

1. Finding a new job. I am actively searching for a new position in a new field so wish me luck!

2. Fitness - I will be tracking my water intake all month, and raising my Fitbit step goals and trying to meet them daily.

3. Organizing all of my photos and baby pictures into albums. I have purchased the albums and now I just need to get them all organized!

4. Journal all month. Journaling has been something that I have wanted to do for such a long time and I never have made it a priority. So as of December 1st I am going to try and journal as much as I can, hopefully every day.

5. Go on a fancy date. We have several things this month that I think will be fancy enough for me to cross off. We will be celebrating our six years of dating anniversary. Yes, we are still celebrating that even though we are married. We also have Joe's company holiday party that is really fancy and I can't wait to see my husband in a tux again!

Of course, I hope to cross off more things this month, these are just the goals I am choosing to focus on.

What are some of your goals for this month?
