101 in 1001 Update | February

Well, three months have officially passed since the start date of my 101 in 1001 list. Today, I am co-hosting the first update with Macy and I am so excited to read about everyone's progress! Although I haven't crossed off as many things as I hoped, doing this update has motivated me to pick goals for the upcoming months. Next time I will definitely have much more to cross off! Here is what I have accomplished so far.

Items I have crossed off my list so far:

27. Keep my niece overnight - This has actually happened twice so far, and Joe and I love having her over!

28.Keep the Black Friday tradition going every year (2015) - This was a major success for 2015!

37.Go on a fancy date (1) - This happened in December, and we had a lot of fun!

39.Have an annual Harry Potter marathon (2016) - This will of course be an every year thing, but we recently went through all of the movies after Christmas and into the new year (thanks mom for the box set)

56. Take a girls trip - A few weekends ago my sisters, mom, niece, and myself all took a day trip to L.A to visit my grandad and also to do some shopping.

98. Redo my about me page - I recently updated it, but of course I am looking into new ways to design it more myself.

Items in progress/upcoming:

6.Finish my degree - Always in progress, one of the main reasons I have not been able to cross more things off lately!

10.Organize all of my family/baby pictures into photo albums - I recently got some old pictures from my moms house, so I bought a photo album and am working on getting them all organized.

15. Try 25 new to me recipes from Pinterest - This has been so much fun, I am loving trying out new recipes right now.

23.Completely purge my closet and donate everything I am not wearing/will not wear - I have been in major spring cleaning mode, and my closet is the next thing on my list to tackle.

49.Take at least two trips back to Las Vegas - Coming up in April

You can always read my original 101 in 1001 list here

P.S - Thank you Macy, for letting me co-host with you! Go check out her blog if you haven't before. She has amazing helpful blogging posts, beautiful wedding/honeymoon photos, and she started this link-up! Plus, she's SO nice.
We would love it if you would link up with us! Being able to read about everyone's journeys so far is so exciting. I can't wait to see where we all are in another three months. Go link up, and check out all of the newly updated lists!

The Good Things.

What a crazy few weeks it has been! I haven't had the time or energy to blog and for really good reason. Hint: a new baby! It's a new month, and one month closer to finally having fall weather. Hopefully we only have to endure a few more weeks of temperatures in the 100's fingers crossed. I missed blogging so one of my goals this month is to not completely neglect this little space.

What I've been up to lately...

| Spending lots of time with my new niece! She was born on July 30th! It was an entire week of waiting for this sweet thing to be born, but she finally came and it was all worth the wait. She is the most cuddly little baby which makes me want to go snuggle her all the time. Oh, and yes I had to get a picture of her in this bib.

| My new planner is getting me motivated to set goals this month and stick to them. I picked this one up from Target last week and I am loving it so far. I'll be filing it up with soon with my new school schedule that starts at the end of this month and oddly I'm ready to be busy and perusing my goals.

| I am a little bit addicted to subscription services. I just signed up for the Alexa Re' subscription bag to try out this month and I cannot wait for it to arrive. I am also loving my subscriptions to Beauty Box 5 and Ipsy! I probably have enough products to last a very long time but it's something I just can't give up.

| Taking time to go out with my husband and family. Any excuse to have margs / chips and salsa is a good time in my book. I'm hoping to get myself to the movies this week to see the new Vacation movie as well as Southpaw with Joe.

P.S - add me on Snapchat: vivianstonee it's been my favorite app this past month!

Five on Friday

Well, it's the end of the week and I feel like I have so much to say today. I've been working on this stupid 16 page final paper for a class all week and it feels nice to write about something other than child development. Here are some things going on.

1| Pinterest wins - I made two recipes and both were very successful. I made this oven baked fried chicken, and it was so successful and delicious. Then I just went ahead and dug deep into my housewife abilities and made what Pinterest calls the best chocolate chip cookies and boy were they right. I plan on making these way too many times. P.S - make sure to chill the dough.

2| Today marks the last day of classes for the semester, which means I get a whole month off from anything school related. This makes me so happy. I worked and had school all throughout the wedding planning process and the wedding itself, so this is a much needed break. Plus it means I can focus on this little blog.

3| I still haven't started Christmas shopping, and we are officially less than two weeks away. Joe cannot think of anything that he wants this year, and I am usually a great gift giver but this year I am drawing blanks. Someone give me good ideas, I need them.

4| Next Friday is Joe's company Christmas party, and I am once again not prepared at all. Today is going to be spent attempting to find an outfit. Joe gets to wear a tux provided by the company, so he just lucks out in the outfit department. A haircut, a shave, and he's good to go. So lucky.

5| I made an appointment to cut off some of this hair next week. I always chop a lot of my hair off at least once a year and I had to wait extra long this year because I wanted to grow it out for the wedding. Now that it's over, I am so ready.

Have a blast this weekend for me guys, I'll be at work all weekend. Blah.

Currently...

I love reading a good currently post, everyone else has probably already done one and I'm probs the last one to participate. I'm always late, just kidding I'm actually always 30 minutes early but to this game - I am.

Anyway, on to the post..

Currently...

reading | I was reading "Eleanor & Park" before wedding planning and school took over my life. I need to get back to that book!

writing | This blog post and alternating between writing an essay for an early childhood education class.

listening | To this awful Flo Progressive radio commercial. This woman makes me want to pull out my own hair.

thinking | About how badly I want to make a pot roast, but I've never made one before. Pinterest here I come.

smelling | This delicious banana bread that I made and now am about to eat.

wishing | For fall weather to officially start. No boots, no scarves yet, not here in California at least. #sad

hoping | To make some halloween plans. This will be our first holiday as a married couple!

wearing | I actually look really fall appropriate in my maroon shirt and gold jewelry. Oh and I'm wearing flats, which isn't often because - flat feet.

wanting | To take a vacation. Since we didn't get to take our honeymoon yet, we just jumped right back into our routines and we could use a vacation! I have been whining about wanting to go to Disneyland for far too long.

loving | My husband and puppy. They keep me sane after long days at work.

needing | For it to be October 25th so I can binge watch season 6 of Sons of Anarchy! Oh and to think of new blog name ideas, and someone to give me a pretty new blog design! Throw ideas my way.

Wedding Wednesday: A To-Do List

Time sure does fly when you have a ton of things to do and everything in my body is making me procrastinate it all. How is it even possible that it's July? Although it only may be halfway through the year, July means that I only have 3 months until our wedding. THREE. My wedding binder with the perfect little checklist of things to do really must be collecting dust right now because I have been a slacker. In my defense It's really hard trying to set appointments with vendors and places when you have the weirdest work schedule ever, and your fiance's work schedule is completely opposite of yours. Excuses, excuses I know. I am reminded every time The Knot sends me "what I should be doing this month/week" updates right to my email how really, very behind I am. They also keep reminding me to start a workout regimen and to that I have really nothing to say.

So here is a public checklist for the month of July that I vow hopefully accomplish.

1| Have a freaking meeting with the coordinator at our ceremony/reception venue to get a timeline/linens/layout all set. Every other vendor is waiting on us to get a timeline from the coordinator so they have a time for setup, etc. Procrastination at its finest. Number one priority at the moment.

2| Order invitations - According to my checklist I'm actually on time with this one if we get them ordered and out in the month of July.

3| Bridesmaids dresses and Tuxes - This seriously needs to happen this month.

4| Order all rentals for the day ceremony/receptionist.

5| Figure out music situation. The fun part will actually picking out our favorite songs to incorporate into our day.

6| Find/book hair and makeup artists for me and my bridal party.

July is a really busy month, in between the major part of my summer school semester and BOTH of my sisters birthdays I really hope I can buckle down and get shiz done. On a really positive note, we took our engagement photos and all my photographer left us with was one single sneak peek until we get the final edits so I decided why not share it with you all. I am not a patient person and I cannot wait to see the final pictures, there will be a full post about our engagement photos coming soon!
