Top Five Essie Polishes For Fall!

Hello Everyone!

Today I thought I would share my top five favorite Essie nail polishes for the fall time! I can for sure say that Essie is my all time favorite nail polish brand! I am constantly looking out for their new seasonal collections and feel the need to go out and buy them right away! Here are some of my favorites for this 2013 fall season!!



1. For The Twill Of It - I currently have this polish on my nails and toes, and I am obsessed with this color! I love the darker polishes for fall and I love it because it has different dimensions to the color so it really pops when the light hits it!


2. Bahama Mama - I feel like this color is a staple to fall nail polishes! It is a beautiful wine/purple-ish color. So so pretty!

3.  Vested Intrest - When I first saw this color I wasn't so sure about the color for fall, but after seeing it on the nails I was sold! 

4. The Lace Is On- I am in love with wine and magenta colors in the colder months, and this is absolutely the prettiest color, it has some shimmer which makes it really stand out.

5. Midnight Cami - This polish is a deep, dark color which I love. I think it is perfect for fall because its not your typical black or brown yet it still has color and is a change from all of the pastel and neons I have been wearing all summer! 


So there are some of my favorite fall polishes..Fall is my favorite season and I cannot wait to share more fall favorite or fall inspired blog posts and videos!

Would You Rather?

Hi Everyone!! I saw this tag on a few other beauty blogs and thought it would be really fun to do!!

Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lipglosses or lose all of your palettes and eyeshadows?

Even though I cannot go a day without mascara I would have to say I would rather lose all of my mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lipglosses! I would just have to go out and buy more! ;)

Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again?

This one is tough for me because I could not imagine not having hair...however, I have super thick hair and I really think my hair would be soo damaged without a hair cut. I will go with chop off all of my hair...luckily my hair grows really fast!

Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?

I know this is going to sound crazy, but I really do not wear much blush! I am all about the bronzer and I have naturally rosy cheeks so I really don't like to add to them. If I had to choose though I would go with a pink cheek!

If you had $1000 to spend, Would you rather buy clothes or makeup?
New Clothes, hands down.

 

Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner, or eyeliner as lipstick?
 

Oh boy..... I cannot imagine either being really flattering. I guess I would choose using the eyeliner as a lipstick, they have pink eyeliners anyway!

Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?
  Definitely Sephora! They have everything, MAC can get super expensive. 

Would you rather only use one eyeshadow color or one lip color for the rest of your life?
 

I would say one lip color, I love doing my eye makeup and I really don't mind sticking with a favorite lip color! 

Would you rather wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter?
I really had to think about this question! It gets as high as 106+ degrees here in summer and I could not imagine wearing winter clothes! I could survive with summer clothes in winter since I still wear cardigans and scarfs in the summer (I work in an air conditioned building).

                          Would you rather dark nails or bright nails all year round?

 I love my bright nails and paint them at least two times a week, bright nails for sure!

Would you rather give up your favorite lip product or your favorite eye product?

Give up my favorite lip product! I can't live without my Covergirl mascaras!

Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a pony tail or a messy bun?

I would say a pony tail, I feel like I could really make a pony tail look cute and sleek. 

Would your rather never being able to paint your nails again or never use lipgloss?
 

Never use lipgloss! I would not give up my nail polish collection.

 

Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all? or sharpie them in everyday?

Oddly enough I have seen many girls with both "eyebrow looks" and it is not cute. I suppose I would have to sharpie them in haha!

 Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish?

This question is so tough, I love painting my nails but I guess I would have to live without it because I like wearing makeup even more.

My Weekly - At Home Manicure Routine!

Hi Everyone!!

For all of you girls who don't like to spend the extra cash at the nail salon, this post is for you! 

I personally love doing my own nails and buying new nail polish. I sometimes paint my nails anywhere from 1-3 times a week; depending on my mood. Weekly though, I go through my nail maintenance routine where I really take care of my nails.

I am going to show all of you my process, as well as my favorite products to use!

1. I start off by removing all old nail polish from my fingers. I use any brand or type of nail polish remover, I am not really picky on that. I do love to use cotton rounds, rather than cotton balls because I feel like I only need a couple to take off all of my polish. 

2. I use my "Sally Hansen ; Instant Cuticle Remover" on all ten nails around the nail bed and all over dry cuticles. I use the nail pusher tool to push back all of my cuticles and then wash off the excess with warm soap and water. 

3. I trim all of my nails and use my file to file my nails to desired length and shape. (I love finding cute nail files at ulta/target!)

4. I then paint my nails whatever color I choose to use that day, (pictured is "come hither" from the new sinful colors gel tech line) 

5. As for my top coat, I always use the Sally Hansen Insta-Dry in the red bottle! It's my favorite!

6. On top of that I take my OPI drying drops and put one small drop on top of every nail for some extra shine, quick drying, and to help prevent chipping. 

7. I finish everything off by using my Julep Cuticle Oil around my nail beds after my polish is dried. Then I will use my favorite hand cream, which at the moment has been Pink Chiffon from bath and body works!

Sinful Shine!

I recently received a new Sinful Colors nail polish in "Come Hither", which is a beautiful pink color! 

These new Sinful Colors polishes are found at walgreens and are new with gel tech! 

It says that these new colors are 5x shinier than a patent leather shoe. 

I used the color last week and it literally stayed on for about a full week, which is awesome for me because I am always chipping my nail polish. The color is very shiny and the formula is easy to apply. I am really excited that I found these colors at my walgreens, all 32 colors! If you are a nail polish addict, I recomend trying them out; and for 2.99 you really can't beat that!
