BH Malibu Palette!

In my July Glam Bag from Ipsy.com I received a trio pallet of shadows from BH Cosmetics, I had previously purchased the Malibu pallet while at Generation Beauty in Los Angeles in June. I really wanted to do a review on this palette and show you all the colors!

BH Cosmetics is a great company because they offer really beautiful makeup for a very reasonable price. I bought this Malibu palette for $8.00!! I was drawn to this one specifically because of the bright colors and bronzers it comes with, with summer starting I couldn't say no! The packaging is adorable!!

(Swatches from right side of the palette)

(Swatches from the left side)

(Swatches from middle face products)

As you can tell from the swatches they are not as vibrant as they are in the palette, however when built up on your eye they really do pop! I tend to use the bright colors on my lower lash line to really stand out, and use the more bronze tones for every day eye looks.

I think this palette is great for traveling because it includes bright and neutral colors along with a bronzer, blush, and a highlighter!

I absolutely love this palette for summer!

Check out the BH cosmectics website, they always have deals and tutorials on their website!

My Weekly - At Home Manicure Routine!

Hi Everyone!!

For all of you girls who don't like to spend the extra cash at the nail salon, this post is for you!

I personally love doing my own nails and buying new nail polish. I sometimes paint my nails anywhere from 1-3 times a week; depending on my mood. Weekly though, I go through my nail maintenance routine where I really take care of my nails.

I am going to show all of you my process, as well as my favorite products to use!

1. I start off by removing all old nail polish from my fingers. I use any brand or type of nail polish remover, I am not really picky on that. I do love to use cotton rounds, rather than cotton balls because I feel like I only need a couple to take off all of my polish.

2. I use my "Sally Hansen ; Instant Cuticle Remover" on all ten nails around the nail bed and all over dry cuticles. I use the nail pusher tool to push back all of my cuticles and then wash off the excess with warm soap and water.

3. I trim all of my nails and use my file to file my nails to desired length and shape. (I love finding cute nail files at ulta/target!)

4. I then paint my nails whatever color I choose to use that day, (pictured is "come hither" from the new sinful colors gel tech line

5. As for my top coat, I always use the Sally Hansen Insta-Dry in the red bottle! It's my favorite!

6. On top of that I take my OPI drying drops and put one small drop on top of every nail for some extra shine, quick drying, and to help prevent chipping.

7. I finish everything off by using my Julep Cuticle Oil around my nail beds after my polish is dried. Then I will use my favorite hand cream, which at the moment has been Pink Chiffon from bath and body works!

Sinful Shine!

I recently received a new Sinful Colors nail polish in "Come Hither", which is a beautiful pink color!

These new Sinful Colors polishes are found at walgreens and are new with gel tech!

It says that these new colors are 5x shinier than a patent leather shoe.

I used the color last week and it literally stayed on for about a full week, which is awesome for me because I am always chipping my nail polish. The color is very shiny and the formula is easy to apply. I am really excited that I found these colors at my walgreens, all 32 colors! If you are a nail polish addict, I recomend trying them out; and for 2.99 you really can't beat that!

I received this nail polish complimentary from Influester for testing purposes.

Sinful Colors

If you have tried out any of the new colors, let me know your favorites!!

Hair Care Routine For Blondes!

Hi Everyone!!!

I am so excited to write this post because I love talking about hair care products and sharing them with my fellow blondes! I am going to share my top favorite products to use on blonde hair.

Let me start off by giving you some of my hair history... I have been getting my hair bleached for about six years now and I am always looking for new products to help keep my hair looking soft, fresh, and natural. I usually wash my hair every 3 days depending on what I do to my hair / if I worked out..etc. If I am not washing it that day I just use a shower cap to protect my hair. I have reallyyy thick and dry hair so these are some products that I personally love!

1. John Frieda: Sheer Blonde Color Renew Shampoo and Conditioner; These are my two favorite shower products to keep my blonde fresh and toned in between salon visits. The shampoo is a purple shampoo which is a tone correcting product. The conditioner is great for my hair to keep it soft after bleaching it so many times! If I do not feel like splurging on the Paul Mitchell Forever Blonde products these are the ones I always reach for, and keep repurchasing.

Can be found at drugstores, Ulta, etc for around 5-7$

2. It's a 10: Miracle Leave in for Blondes; I use this product after I towel dry and comb through my hair with a wide tooth comb. It helps my hair with frizz as well as helping tone it. This product says it will do the following;
  • Tones Hair Color
  • Enhances Brilliance
  • Reduces Fading/Extends Vibrancy
  • Adds Shine & Restores Strength
  • Detangles & Defrizzes
  • Seals the Cuticle
  • Thermal Protector
  • UV Protectant
  • Designed For All Blondes
Can be found for around 19-23$

3. Tresemme: Thermal Heat Protection Spray; This is my all time favorite heat spray. I use this before I blow dry, straighten, or curl my hair. It gives really great shine, protection, and smell.

Can be found in all drugstores for around 4-6$

4. Bed Head: After Party; This smoothing balm does wonders for my hair when it is dry. I really only use it after I blow dry and before I straighten my hair to help smooth everything out. I don't recommend using it on wet hair from my own experience. I only apply from my ears down so it doesn't make my hair oily.

Can be found for around 18-23$

5. Batiste: Dry Shampoo (wild and daring); I love this dry shampoo! I have used many different brands and will continue to repurchase this product. This, unlike many other dry shampoo's does not leave a white residue in my hair. It actually does what it says along with giving it some volume and a good smell. I am very tempted to buy the "for blondes" dry shampoo also!

Can be found at ulta for $7.99

Ipsy Glam Bag

Hi Everyone!

Today's blog post is going to be about the Ipsy my glam bag subscription monthly service.

I had first heard of Ipsy through YouTube a while ago and would always watch beauty gurus do unboxing vidoes or looks with the products that were featured in the subscription service. I hadn't really wanted to sign up for the program until after attending generation beauty in Los Angeles last month in June. I was really excited after returning home and wanted to try it out, so I signed up for the July bag.

Basically what you do when you want a bag is log onto ipsy.com and take their little quiz about yourself so they can see what products best fit you. Then you may or may not be waitlisted for a bag, I guess depending on how many people are signed up that month. Last you set up your account billing and wait until the following month to receive your Ipsy Glam Bag. The service is 10$/month and you get about 5 products monthly.

I just received my first bag in the mail yesterday and wanted to do a first impressions blog post for everyone who is thinking about signing up for the service.

I wanted to start off by saying that the packaging that the bags come in monthly is adorable and made me really excited to get something that cute in the mail.

In my July bag I received:

Pop Beauty Pouty Pop Crayon

Small travel size of Benetint

Sexy Hair Weather Proof humidity resistant spray

BH Cosmetics California collection sample eyeshadow

Coola mineral face SPF 20 tinted moisturizer

Since receiving these products I do like the service, however the products this month were mostly things that I had tried or have in my collection. I am very excited to try these products and let everyone know how they worked out for me.

With being an Ipsy member you also get discount codes for the brands that are featured that month which is really nice.

I honestly do recommend Ipsy to anyone who loves trying out new makeup products, I feel that it is a good price for everything you get.

Olay Fresh Effects BB Cream!

I received Olay's Fresh Effects BB Cream in my Sun Vox Box from Influenster.com a few weeks ago and have been trying it out for about two weeks now. After using this product for two weeks I feel that I can write a review on how I really feel about this product and give out my honest opinion. From the Olay website www.olayfresheffects.com I have found the six skincare benefits that this products says it offers.

• Refreshes skin instantly
• Brightens for a radiant glow
• Evens tone with a splash of sheer color
• Hydrates for 24 hours
• Smoothes for softer feeling skin
• Protects against UV damage with SPF 15

I am the type of person who loves BB creams, I have tried about three or so and personally love them. I really enjoy light hydrating coverage. I must say that the Olay Fresh Effects is one of my top favorites. The product is not meant to give you full coverage but it does give some light coverage and offers many other great benefits that I feel that most foundation does not offer.

Olay Fresh Effects BB cream is not heavy on your face or make your skin feel dried out and caked on. You really feel as if you only put on a moisturizer or sunscreen. I also really enjoy the light fresh smell.

This product is very inexpensive and can be found in drugstores as well as on
www.olayfresheffects.com and http://www.amazon.com

I use this product every morning with my real tequniches face brush, and use concealer and bronzer on top.
