Beauty Box 5 - February

This month Beauty Box 5 celebrated its third birthday, which I think is pretty cool because we share a birthday. I didn't check any spoilers on the months box because I wanted to be surprised, and I'm glad I waited because I loved everything.

GlamGlow | Youth-mud Treatment - This was the product that got me the most excited for this months box. I had a few samples of different GlamGlow products a few months ago and fell in love. I just can't bring myself to spend the big bucks on one product from their company because there are so many I haven't tried yet. I tried this and actually got two uses out of the sample, it made my skin feel so soft and wasn't harsh at all.

Revlon Colorstay Polish | Velvet Rope - I am such a fan of Revlon's nail polish and I was super excited about this color, it's definitely the perfect red. I'll use this a ton this fall.

Avon Big Color Eye Pencil | I received the copper color I do like the color, but I noticed it does crease a bit. I will have to try again with a better eyeshadow primer.

Abosolute Love Lip Balm | Strawberry - This smells like candy, and it made me want to eat it - I didn't of course... Very nice to keep at my desk to use throughout the day.

Beauty Box 5: December ~Merry and Bright~

Today I'm here to share my month subscription box from Beauty Box 5. I would normally share this a bit sooner (like last month), but it came a little late last month probably due to the holidays and the mail services being so crazy. 

Beauty Box 5 ships to the US (free shipping) and Canada ($3.00 shipping) 
$12/month or they also have annual subscriptions for a cheaper rate. 

Here's what I got:

Juice Beauty Stem Cellular Moisturizer: This is a certified organic moisturizer. I have really been enjoying this. Normally I get nervous with new facial products, but this is very hydrating which is great for my dry skin. 

Jaqua Hand Creme - Pink Champagne: This lotion smells amazing! I have this in my purse to use daily.  

Absolute New York Nail Polish Remover Pads: These are really handy. I am the type of person that hates having chipped nail polish and when it does chip, I want it off right away. These are perfect to keep in my bag for emergencies. 

Nanacoco Nail Polish: This was definitely a big disappointment for me. I am not a fan at all of Nanacoco nail polishes, they are just not up to par with any other polishes.

Lucky Brand Lucky Number 6 Perfume: I was supposed to get this in my box but I actually didn't for some reason. 

Overall I will use 3/5 of the products this month because I didn't get a chance to try out the perfume.

Beauty Box 5 | September 2014

Today I am back after taking last week off, mostly because I was sick and partly because I needed to not think about anything other than school for a while. 

I had a great mail day last week where I received my Beauty Box 5 for September and since I didn't look at spoilers this time, I was actually surprised when I opened my box! Since I blog about BB5 every month I figure by now you know it is a monthly subscription service that delivers five products mid month right to your door. The cost is $12/month but if you sign up and pay for months in advance it is cheaper each month. 

Chrislie Formulations | 3 in 1 Eye Bright - (Not Pictured) I was really excited about this product because I am very dry under my eyes which causes my makeup to crease if I don't apply enough moisturizer before application. I found that this didn't do much for me, It was a nice oil consistency, but other than that it didn't provide any other results that made me want to repurchase it. Also, I only used smaller than a pea size once and the little bottle is almost empty - not sure if it was an accident. 

My Beauty Spot | Nail Polish - I have never heard of this brand of nail polish, but I did like the color. When I opened my box the polish was really gooey though; maybe from the heat in traveling? I tried a swatch and it is a very pretty color with good pigmentation.

Sally Hansen | Toe Spacers - Do people really space their toes when painting them? I have never needed to. Not sure if I'll get any use out of these. 

Nicka K | Eyelight Crayon - The one I received is in this pretty green color that is very wearable, especially for fall. I will definitely use this product.

Natural Style by FUBU | Deep Conditioner (2) - I love deep conditioners, but I wouldn't use this product from roots to ends like it says on the package. My roots get pretty oily if I apply deep conditioning products to them. 

All in all, I would say this was an okay month for Beauty Box 5. Nothing really made me too excited, but I do have some new products to try out.

Defining Moments | Beauty Box Five July

Defining Moments by Beauty Box Five is this months theme. They are celebrating moments in life that are special to each person this month and are giving us the products to help us look and feel great as well. 

Revlon Bold Laquer Mascara | I am a junkie when it comes to mascaras and I have been eyeing this one for quite some time, so I was very happy to see this in my box this month. It provides major volume so my lashes look really thick and long. I have had no problem with flaking whatsoever. 

Starlooks Lip Liner | I honestly don't use lip liner really at all. This is a brownish color and it glided on my hand great. I might even use as a soft eyeliner. 

HASK Argon Oil Hair Treatment | Hair masks for me are a must. I literally use one every single week because between the highlights, the heat, and all the products I use on my hair - it needs it. I have really thick, dry hair anyway so deep conditioning treatments are a life savor. I am trying this out this week. 

Body Drench Candy Licious Lips | A new favorite, for sure. I just got this box a couple days ago and I already love this lip balm. The one I received is lemon flavor and it makes my lips so soft and silky, not to mention they smell great. 

Anna Naturals Body Scrub | This is a vegan scrub that can be used on the face and body to help exfoliate. It is gentle and doesn't contain any parabens or harsh chemicals which is great in my book. I will use this before I do self tanner!

June |Beauty Box 5

This past week I went through my "product closet" which is basically all of my products that I am not using at the moment and gave away and trashed a ton of beauty products that I wasn't using or that were old. I did this just in time to get new products from Beauty Box 5! When it comes to beauty products I am a major hoarder, so I decided to purge and make room for new things that I want to use. 

I love my Beauty Box 5 because every month I get to look forward to adding to my collection and trying out new things. So I am here today to share my "Summer Chic" June box!

Organix Coconut Water Shampoo and Conditioner | Retail $7.99 13oz  I have been wanting to try out this shampoo/conditioner scent ever since I smelled these products in Ulta a couple months ago. I really love the Organix hair products and I am so excited that I received these!

Nicka K Nail Polish |$4.99 If anyone knows me; I am a nail polish addict and I love getting new nail polish. This color is so pretty and I love the formula of these polishes as well. Not sure the name of the color but it is a really nice lilac color. And the bottle is really unique!

Glam Natural Mascara |$28 .25oz This mascara is the perfect one to put in my bag to do touch ups throughout the day. I really like the thick brush on this mascara and that it doesn't irritate my eyes. 

Vita Bath Body Wash |$7.95 12oz This product smells like an actual cupcake, and while I am usually not partial to things that smell super sugary I know I can pass this product along to a friend. I love that this product/brand doesn't contain any sulfates or parabens. 

Eslor Introductory Collection Calming Kit | I have never heard of this brand, but I really enjoy learning about new brands and trying out new skincare. It came with several packets to try out of different skincare products. These products are also paraban free and I can't wait to try them out.

I love this months box because it focused on more natural and products without parabens or harmful chemicals. Those are the products that agree with my skin the most and I love that Beauty Box 5 supplied these new ones to try out!

Harvey Prince | Hello Perfume – (Sample Size) - This perfume actually smells really good! It's a great scent for summer, it's very light and fresh.

Cattiva | Retractable Waterproof Eyeliner (BLACK - Full Size) - A girl can really never have too many black eyeliners, in my opinion. I really like that this one is retractable and it goes on very smooth. Not the darkest black eyeliner I have ever used, but nonetheless it is a good eyeliner. 

Ban | Total Refresh Cooling Body Cloths (3 Cloths) - From the Ban website:They say these are great to use after exercising, or on the road. I will definitely keep these in my car or bag just in case I ever need to freshen up on the go. "Gently wipe the soft, durable cloth on any part of your body - around your neck, chest or under arms - and enjoy cool, instant freshness." 

H20+ | Aqualibrium Marine Cleansing Gel (2 Ml Mini Size) - I like this cleanser a lot actually, I feel it isn't really suitable for taking off makeup at night though. This is something I would use in the morning as a more mild cleanser before my makeup application. I have read reviews that it is a good product to wash makeup applicators with too, so I might try that.

Beauty Box 5 ~ April

Hey everyone! I am back with this months Beauty Box 5 subscription and I can't wait to show y'all what was inside! Beauty Box 5 of course is a subscription service where you receive five products monthly for $12.00. I am now a review team member which is really exciting, I love trying out new products! BH Cosmetics - California Trio Eyeshadow Palette ~ I love BH cosmectics and actually already own the actual palette of these shadows that I purchased last year. I will definitely be passing this onto one of my sisters. Great quality eyeshadows as well.

Nicka K New York - Hydro Lipstick ~ This lipstick is a very bold red color that has some major sparkle, and although it isn't something I will probably wear I will pass this along as well.

Blum Naturals - All Purpose Cleansing Wipes ~ These wipes can be used to clean up any cosmetic messes you may make, and they also hypo allergenic and paraben free! The wipes come in a resealable container and are travel friendly.

Jergens Natural Glow - 3 Days to Glow Moisturizer ~ I am currently obsessed with any and all Jergens body products. I am a self tanner and love the other Jergens gradual glow products. I plan on doing a review on this product after I do the 3 days to glow routine, so keep an eye out for that!

Bonne Bell - Lip Definer ~ I was so shocked when I saw the brand "Bonne Bell" I remember this brand from when I was younger and how much I loved lip smackers! Totally brought back memories. Anyway this color pencil is perfect for my fair skin, and it actually doesn't dry out my lips like other lip pencils do.

Beauty Box 5 {March}

Beauty Box 5 is a great monthly subscription service where you get a box delivered to your doorstep every month with new beauty goodies. For $12.00 a month you get 5 items in your box, hence the name. I love getting monthly subscription boxes in my mailbox because you never know what you're gonna get. Even if you only love a few products, it still usually is double the cost of the box anyway!

I have never received a month subscription box where I absolutely love everything in the box, this month I did! Here's what I received:

Jane's Pick ~All Natural Soaps (Retail $8.00) This soap is handmade, chemical free, and made with herbs and flowers. I love the scent of this soap and it lathers great!

Tree Hut ~Shea Body Butter (Retail 7.49) I absolutely love Tree Hut products, right now I use a body wash scrub and love it. This body butter is no different, the smell is to die for (coconut and lime) and it moisturizes my skin so well. It is paraben free and has natural anti-aging properties.

Bellapierre Cosmetics ~ Makeup Base (Retail 18.99) This makeup base is perfect because it matches my skin so well, and it conceals any discoloration or veins on my eye lids or under my eyes.

H2O Plus ~ Hand & Nail Cream (Retail 15.00) I have been complaining all winter about my cuticles and hands, they crack and hurt so badly. Right when I used this product it soothed my hands and made them so silky. It is very lightweight and not greasy at all.

Swissco ~ Dual Sided Facial Pad (Retail 2.00) I am so excited for this facial pad! I love to exfoliate, but my skin usually hates me for days after I do. With this I can use my gentle foaming cleanser on this facial pad and rub gently to help exfoliate without the harshness of some exfoliating products.

All of the products are great for this season, I love the colors in the NYX trio (NYX is one of my favorite brands)
