Ipsy Glam Bag | June 2014

This months Ipsy bag is "Pretty in Paradise" I am especially excited about this months bag because of the actual bag itself! Rebecca Minkoff designed this months Ipsy bag, and it is perfect!

The cost is $10.00 a month.

(Isn't this bag adorable?)

Besides the bag itself the products this month were really perfect for summer as well.

NYX Butter gloss | Apple Strudel (Full Size) NYX Butter Glosses are hands down my favorite lip products. I already own this color but it happens to be my favorite so now I can have one at home and in my bag.

Laneige | BB Cushion Foundation: This came with three little pods for different skin tones. Since I am pretty fair I will only be able to use the lightest shade. I am excited to try this out though, I have only heard good things.
"The revolutionary 5-in-1 BB in a convenient compact. Go beyond your regular BB cream. Broad-spectrum SPF 50 blocks harmful UVA/UVB rays, while skin perfecting Optimal Mineral Water cools and hydrates upon application. Prevent shine and brighten skin by visibly reducing dark spots. Patented air cushion distributes just the right amount of BB cream. Apply whenever and wherever you want, with no buildup or bother. All day flawless skin is just 1 step away"

Marc Anthony | Dream Waves Beach Spray: I just used this on my dry hair after I curled it, and it made the texture so nice. The smell is great and beachy, with no stickiness at all.

Skinn | Olive & Enzyme Cleanser I really like this product so far. I put mine in the shower and use it while I'm in there. I think it's great because I have dry skin, but it might not be great for someone with oily skin only because it has kind of an olive oil feel to it. Smells so delicious too!
"Olive & Enzyme Rich Cleanser and Resurfacing Mask is an extra rich, natural cleansing treatment, packed with phyto-aromatic oils, polyphenols, vitamins and enzymes for luxurious nighttime cleansing and makeup removal. This cleanser melts off eye and face makeup as well as dirt, pollution, grime and surface debris, without ever stripping skin of moisture since it is detergent-free! This product also doubles as a wrinkle-softening mask."

Jesse's Girl | Black Eyeliner: I am not overly excited for this product only because it made a major mess when I opened it. I think too much product comes out of the tip and it got everywhere.

Overall I am very pleased with this months bag. I will use every item minus the eyeliner but besides that I am really happy with my new products.

You can try Ipsy here for $10.00 a month!

Summer 2014 Shows

I am the type of girl that can cuddle up on the couch, watch my shows and not even care about going out at all. I get so excited for my summer shows because it's something I always look forward to. Here are some new and returning shows I'm getting my popcorn ready for.

Big Brother: (June 25) After watching this show every single summer for as long as I can even remember I always get really happy when this show comes back on. It's my family's number one summer show that we tend to get a bit obsessed with.

Pretty Little Liars: It is back for it's fifth season and I am sad to say that as much as I love this show I cannot believe it got renewed for at least two more seasons. I will continue watching because; 1. I am way too invested to quit 2. I NEED to know who the actual "A" is and 3. The eye candy is great. I am too impatient to find out the truth.

Here Comes Honey Boo Boo: (June 24) I am ashamed to even say this, but I watch purely for the entertainment. Never in a million years did I think I would ever watch this but after watching one time I was kind of hooked. This show is like a train wreck and sometimes too gross to watch, but I can't look away.

Girl Meets World: (June 27) Growing up, Boy Meets World was a serious favorite show of mine and my sisters. I will still watch it to this day when re-runs are on. The commercials for this show look a bit cheesy but I'll give it a shot just to see Cory and Topanga back on my television. I need some of those Boy Meets World life lessons back in my life.

Mystery Girls: (June 25) I remember watching the original 90210 with my mom all the time. We watched it from start to finish quite a few times as I got older too. I just love Tori Spelling and Jennie Garth so much that I am going to set this on my DVR and hope it's good.

What are some summer shows you will be watching, or what are some other shows I should be watching?

A Day in the Life

I am so excited for this linkup that Brittany  and Rachel are doing today. I love these kind of posts; maybe I'm nosy but I think a lot of people like them too. Getting a look into my blog favorites lives takes everything to a more personal level seeing what they do on a day to day basis.

On a typical work day, my day starts at 5:00 AM. After Joe gets off to work I usually drink my coffee, catch up on social media, and snuggle with Pep before forcing myself to actually get ready for work.

While getting ready I have to listen to my favorite country station, of course.

My typical summer face of the day products

After doing the hardest thing; leaving pepper, I go to work.

If you didn't know I work in a real estate office with my mom. You can read about my 9 to 5 here. Most of the time we carpool and stop for tea/coffee before work which is really nice.

Since I work 8:30-5:00 my day is pretty darn boring considering I am inside of a cubicle.

Lunch this day consisted of a taco salad from El Pollo Loco at my desk in the midst of working. The salad was amazing though.

Work was the same as usual, and I can't wait until I get to go home to my fiance and doggy.

For dinner we made chicken, asparagus, and mashed potatoes.

For the asparagus:
Washed and cut the fresh asparagus
Dried them completely
Lathered on a baking sheet with olive oil
sprinkled pepper, garlic salt, and parmesan cheese all over (the parm cheese is the best part)
Baked on 450 for about 8-10 minutes.

This was seriously the best asparagus recipe, thanks pinterest.

After dinner we cleaned up the kitchen and we relaxed in the backyard with Pepper. Those are my favorite evenings.

My summer class just started and I needed to get my first four chapters out of the way so I had to trade my nightly reading of "An Abundance of Katherines" for my child development book. And usually we're in bed by 9-9:30 because 5 AM comes really fast.

So..what does a day in your life look like?

My 9 to 5 | Total Social

This months topic of the total social is #9to5totalsocial and it is hosted by Helene and Sarah. So I am going to share what I do for my 9 to 5 job. I really enjoy getting to know what bloggers do all day when they aren't blogging. Here's what I do!
Venus Trapped in Mars

I work in a small real estate office with my mom, which is awesome. I sit in a cubicle from 9-5 Monday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday. It is a major bummer working every single weekend but with my school schedule it's really, really nice that my job is flexible.

Some of my duties include:
-Setting showings for homes
-Answering phones
-Scanning closed files (see picture below)
-Creating and uploading routine inspections
-Social Media
-I also edit our offices real estate television show which is a big task.
And pretty much anything else anyone in the office needs from me.

(This is my monthly scanning, sometimes it gets pretty piled up!)

Our office is very small, about 10 people including myself and the agents. The best part about my job is that I get to work with my mom, we get along so amazingly that this is a perfect situation for us. On the weekends it is just me though and sometimes it gets really lonely but I stay busy with setting appointments. Spring/Summer is definitely the most busy for us.

While I'm working toward my college degree to become a teacher this is a great job for me. I have already gained so much knowledge and experience. Some people say sitting all day from 9-5 is an easy task and I am here to say that it is not. Some days are mind numbing but I'll tell you; every day my back and butt are numb. I do miss working with kids where I am up and moving around, because sitting all day is really awful on my posture.

So what do you do for your 9-5?

June |Beauty Box 5

This past week I went through my "product closet" which is basically all of my products that I am not using at the moment and gave away and trashed a ton of beauty products that I wasn't using or that were old. I did this just in time to get new products from Beauty Box 5! When it comes to beauty products I am a major hoarder, so I decided to purge and make room for new things that I want to use.

I love my Beauty Box 5 because every month I get to look forward to adding to my collection and trying out new things. So I am here today to share my "Summer Chic" June box!

beauty box five june box

I also wanted to mention that Beauty Box 5 was so kind enough to give a promo code to receive a free introductory box as well! The code is FREE614 ~good until June 30th~

Organix Coconut Water Shampoo and Conditioner | Retail $7.99 13oz  I have been wanting to try out this shampoo/conditioner scent ever since I smelled these products in Ulta a couple months ago. I really love the Organix hair products and I am so excited that I received these!

Nicka K Nail Polish |$4.99 If anyone knows me; I am a nail polish addict and I love getting new nail polish. This color is so pretty and I love the formula of these polishes as well. Not sure the name of the color but it is a really nice lilac color. And the bottle is really unique!

Glam Natural Mascara |$28 .25oz This mascara is the perfect one to put in my bag to do touch ups throughout the day. I really like the thick brush on this mascara and that it doesn't irritate my eyes.

Vita Bath Body Wash |$7.95 12oz This product smells like an actual cupcake, and while I am usually not partial to things that smell super sugary I know I can pass this product along to a friend. I love that this product/brand doesn't contain any sulfates or parabens.

Eslor Introductory Collection Calming Kit | I have never heard of this brand, but I really enjoy learning about new brands and trying out new skincare. It came with several packets to try out of different skincare products. These products are also paraban free and I can't wait to try them out.

I love this months box because it focused on more natural and products without parabens or harmful chemicals. Those are the products that agree with my skin the most and I love that Beauty Box 5 supplied these new ones to try out!

Check out Beauty Box 5 website and try out a box!

My Thoughts For The Week

the fault in our stars movie

~ The Fault In Our Stars.....hands down my number one on this list because it was perfect. I had my fears that the movie could never do the book justice, but I was so wrong. For 2 hours on Friday I sat in the theater and laughed hard and cried even harder. The director truly brought John Green's beautiful story to life and the casting was on point. I am now on my third John Green book and plan on reading them all because he is such a beautiful writer. I randomly had tissues in my purse and I was glad I did! P.S - We had to wait outside in a line for about an hour and let me just say the heat and being surrounded by 11-15 year old girls was not pleasant - I honestly hope I wasn't that rude, and awful at that age.

~ Summer School starts next week and boy am I sad that this is my last free week of summer for a while. Granted, I am only taking one class over summer - but it was just so nice not to worry about homework after real work all day.

~ Too many sales. This week is the week of semi annual sales, and I just know how this one is gonna go already. One of the things on my summer bucket list was to and I quote "save, save, save" well damn you Victoria's Secret because your semi annual sales always get me. I'll be there tomorrow don't you worry.

~ Joe's birthday is the 17th of this month and I have no idea what to get him. We're planning a dinner, but he never has anything specifically that he wants. I wish we could take a trip but with everything else right now we just cant. Any ideas on fun gifts?

Oh...another thing. It's supposed to be 109 here today and I have never been more thankful to work in an air conditioned office. I guess it's officially summer here.

Did anyone else read and see TFIOS?? I hope you loved it just as much.

Wedding Wednesday | Update

Guys, we're finally making some progress! These past few weeks have been filled with hardcore wedding planning. If you read my past couple wedding updates you would know that we hadn't even found a photographer, or more importantly - an officiant! Well I'm here to tell you that we finally have both! We met with a photographer, loved her and told her about our awful mishap that happened with the first officiant, she recommended someone that she knew and boom, we have a photographer and an officiant. Joe and I both loved her from the second we met with her, and knew she was the perfect one to marry us. She also owns her own ranch and is a florist - therefore we are meeting with her again next month to go over flowers! I know that we may be a bit behind on planning, but I think things all fall into place when they are supposed to. I also wanted to share some pictures of other wedding planning progress as well letting you know that I am  updating my wedding checklist as we progress in planning!

A couple months ago I found so many pretty things in the dollar section at Target, and I am so happy I snatched them up when I did because they no longer have any of this stuff at my Target. These things will either be used for my bridal shower and some for the reception or both, we're not quite sure yet!

Our Save the dates, I can honestly say did not turn out how I had planned for them to, and that's my fault. I purchased them through an Etsy shop and they just weren't what I had planned for them to be. But that's okay. After spending more than planned on them at the printer itself, I have let it go. I will make sure our actual invitations are just what I want. We actually received free samples from Wedding Paper Divas and I am in love with the quality of their invitations!

My hair is a wedding update too! I always knew I wanted to get rid of the ombre before our engagement pictures and wedding so I am now in the process of doing just that. After one time visiting my hair dresser I am so excited to be a blonde again. The lack of upkeep needed with an ombre was amazing, but I missed my blonde hair and I needed a change. I'll only have two more times visiting my hair dresser before the wedding!

(Before)  I may look angry, but I swear I'm not. People were looking at me!
(After) One time after starting the highlighting process

I am so happy with all of the progress made, and I can't wait to start all of the little details of decorations and music selections! I got an oriental trading wedding magazine in the mail the other day, and I am obsessed! They have so many great things such as candy for candy bars, and other things needed for a reception.

Happy hump day!

Influenster "Go" Voxbox

go voxbox

Today I am so excited to share my Influenster "Go" Voxbox! I absolutely love the influenster program and trying out all of the new, fun goodies they provide! I was so excited to see that this box is based around health and just getting up and moving. I need some extra motivation to get in shape for our wedding so this was perfect!

Next Step Review

Jaxx Next Step Shaker Cup ($5.99) | from The Vitamin Shoppe was what made me so excited for this box. I have tried several already bottled meal replacement drinks from other brands and didn't really care for them, but I was so excited to try not only the three shakes it came with (chocolate swiss, vanilla, and berry) but also the bottle itself! Different from the blender bottle this comes with a jack inside the bottle to mix everything together and get all of those clumps out. I was so impressed by the bottle, that I knew even if I didn't care for the shakes I would get so much use out of this bottle.

I have only tried out the chocolate swiss shake and I wouldn't say it was bad, I just have a really hard time getting protein or meal replacement drinks down in general. I did drink most of the drink though, but I feel that with ice or blended it would be even better. I felt really full all morning! I will definitely use this bottle for smoothies and other drinks though!

Playtex sport review

Playtex Sport Fresh Balance | Simple enough, I'm sure you ladies understand.

Aqua Spa Bath Salts | Taking a relaxing bath with lavender scent always puts me in a calm mood. I am really excited for these because after working out you need to relax.

profoot review

PRoFoot Pedi-Rock and Orthotics | I absolutely needed these two products in my life. I have such long and flat feet that most flat shoes really hurt my feet. I am so excited to use these orthotics in my everyday shoes because my doctor actually recommended that I try and find ones that work for me! The Pedi-Rock is awesome, I really hate wearing actual shoes and pretty much live in sandals or flip flops. I love that it's a soft rock that really helps soften your feet, which I need in the summer time.

blue diamond blueberry almonds

Blue Diamond Almonds | One of my favorite snacks is almonds, and I love anything blueberry flavored so these are awesome!

Muller Yogurt | I have this little coupon in my wallet waiting to find the Muller products, I haven't found them yet but when I do I will pick one up!

If you would like an invite to Influenster, leave your email below and I will send you one!

*Disclaimer: I was sent these products from Influenster for testing purposes only. All opinions are my own.*
